On November 20, 2013, the Hedge Fund Association (“HFA”), an international not-for-profit organization with a membership consisting of hedge funds, funds of hedge funds, family offices, high net worth individuals, and service providers, sponsored the HFA Inaugural Student Symposium at Seton Hall entitled How to Find Your Fortune Without Losing Your Soul.

The Symposium was a unique opportunity for Seton Hall students interested in learning more about the hedge fund industry and the wide array of exciting job opportunities the industry offers in research and analysis, portfolio management, marketing, administration, compliance, and law.

The night began with a presentation by renowned founder and co-managing partner of SkyBridge Capital, Anthony Scaramucci, who discussed his book, Goodbye Gordon Gekko: How to Find Your Fortune Without Losing Your Soul. Mr. Scaramucci’s presentation was followed by a diverse panel of hedge fund experts who offered their insights on how to succeed in the hedge fund industry. The panel was moderated by Keith Novick, senior consultant at MJK Consulting Inc., and included Simon Riveles, partner at Riveles Wahab LLP, and Evan H. Katz, Managing Director at Crawford Ventures, Inc.
